ROLE DESCRIPTION

This role within the Leadership, Learning and Events team would suit an innovate and resourceful individual, with a desire to work within a passionate team and learn all aspects of events, L&D and marketing. The role has scope for the successful candidate to truly make their mark on team effectiveness and be provided with an opportunity to work within a dynamic team and vibrant working environment, as well as achieving a formal Level 3 Events Assistant qualification.

The purpose of this role is to support the learning and events team (and wider team members) and its various learning and events activities, across the events delivery process, from planning to execution. 

The successful candidate will efficiently undertake administration tasks which support the delivery of events across the organisation, including supporting the delivery of leadership, learning and development courses and events. The role is varied and would suit an individual eager to gain a thorough understanding of marketing and event techniques.

There is a possibility of a permanent role after the apprenticeship.



KEY ROLES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILTIES

·       Provide general support within the Leadership, Learning and Events department Including acting as a liaison with the Marketing and Communications department following up on delivery of tasks

·       Assist in managing the event logistics for events, including learning and development courses and regional events

·       Support colleagues to ensure the website and social media schedule is up to date for all events and marketing activity

·       Support the marketing of events and courses by co-ordinating the copy-editing and proofreading event/course descriptions and other associated copy

·       Support the production of email communications (using Mailchimp)

·       Support marketing campaigns to drive uptake in attendance for events and learning and development courses/events.

·       Help co-ordinate the sourcing of venues for courses/events in line with briefs and plans.

·       Maintain the events and comms calendar internally in Microsoft Outlook.

·       Undertake Salesforce and Eventbrite administrative tasks

·       Support the administration of the website with specific responsibility for ensuring courses and events information is up-to-date

·       Video editing (editing recording files)

·       Uploading content to the website alongside the Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator

·       Administering the day to day functionality of the website(s) and Eventbrite/Salesforce

·       Using systems to create event invitee lists, and to log attendance at events

·       Assisting in the dissemination of comms via Mailchimp

·       Sourcing sustainable venues and subcontractors

·       Creating and maintaining Eventbrite course pages and course webpages

·       Member / attendee communication and marketing support

·       Coordinate event logistics

·       New content ideas or initiatives

·       Managing event expenditure

·       Resource allocation



KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

·       An interest in events, marketing and communications

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Native or bilingual proficiency in both spoken and written English

·       Exceptional planning skills - anticipating for various scenarios and having good backup solutions when situations inevitably change

·       Awareness of events and marketing techniques including fundamental social media marketing tactics

·       Excellent attention to detail

·       The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, juggling multiple projects

·       Flexibility and adaptability

·       Willingness to work/travel outside

·       5-6 GCSEs at A*- C grade including English

·       A desire to learn and develop Marketing & Communication skills and techniques

·       Microsoft Office knowledge


SALARY & BENEFITS


Place of Work: WC1E 7BT with remote working in place.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours; normally 9.00am – 5.30pm

Holidays: 28 days per annum pro rata, plus public holidays, plus 3 days Xmas closure

Salary & benefits: £16,000 per annum plus benefits (if 19 or over and in second year of apprentice the salary will be minimum wage at least, the same generally if a candidate is taking a permanent position)

Length of contract: 13 – 16 months contract (length of the apprenticeship) permanent role to be confirmed

Start date: ASAP


There is also an Events Assistant Level 3 apprenticeship attached to this position which should be completed in around 13-16 months.
